Meet Ted
Owner | BrokerTed is a lifelong resident of Litchfield where he attended the Litchfield Public Schools, graduating from the University of Connecticut in 1974. He joined his father and mother at E.J. Murphy Realty in 1979 but feels that he has been spoon-fed real estate since he was a young child.
He is the owner of E.J. Murphy Realty and a licensed Real Estate Broker. He is active in the Litchfield Rotary Club, a member of the Litchfield Area Business Association, a member of the Greenway Committee, and a member of the Northwest Connecticut Economic Development Commission and has held numbers positions in local, state and national Real Estate Associations.
He was awarded REALTOR® of the Year by the Litchfield County Board of REALTORS® for 2007 and 2008 and the 2024 Community Leader Award by the Northwest Area Chamber of Commerce. He enjoys jogging and golf.
